Khelo India Women’s League-3 Road Cycling Announced
The Khelo India Women’s League-3 Road Cycling was announced under the Cycling Federation of India and managed by West Bengal Cyclists’ Association. It involves 7 states with West Bengal Cyclists Association & Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage.
The press conference was graced by Abhijit Sett, Mohua Roy Choudhury, Sikha Sen, Sourav Mukherjee, Arpita Mukherjee, and Rajiv Mehra.
The aim of this event was to tap the best of women’s talent in sports across different states and provide them with a good platform for showcasing their talents.
The event will take place on the 25th and 26th of March at Eco Park, New Town, Kolkata.
The league invites cyclists from the Junior, Sub-Junior, Senior, and Youth categories to take part in the event and fight for the championship medals.
More than 100 cyclists from seven states Manipur, Assam, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and U.P. will take part in the event.
For the event, any kind of cycle can be used by the participants.
On the same occasion West Bengal Cyclists Association, West Bengal (WBCA) and Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage signed an MoU at Calcutta Sports Journalist Tent to use sports for the round development of boys and girls, and to provide opportunities to develop a career in sports and mobilize social entrepreneurship.
