The first electric vehicle (EV) expo and knowledge session were introduced by HDFC Bank under the name “E-Accelerate” in East India. The event is scheduled to take place on August 19 and 20, between 11:00 AM and 8:30 PM, at Kolkata’s well-known South City Mall.

Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Branch Banking Head – East, HDFC Bank, inaugurated the expo.

Speaking at the event, Mr Sandeep Kumar said “This time the expo is special because all the cars at the expo are EV vehicles. When the smartphone came out a few years ago, we were all curious about it. Now people are curious about EV vehicles. With this expo, they can avail easy HDFC Bank auto loans and get EV vehicles and do their bit for saving the environment”.

The goal of E-Accelerate is to inform and raise public knowledge about the advantages of EVs. The exhibition will also provide details on the EV brands that are currently on the market as well as the advantages of EVs over petrol and diesel vehicles in terms of cost and the environment. E-Accelerate will also boost B2B and B2C relationships and open up new business options for the EV brands.

Leading foreign and domestic EV manufacturers, such as MG, KIA, BYD, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra, Bajaj, Evato, Toyota, and a few more, will be assembled under one roof to showcase their most recent models and arrange test drives right away. HDFC Bank will also provide on-the-spot loan approval assistance.

The first-of-its-kind expo is anticipated to draw more than 4.25 lakh auto aficionados, making it the largest EV expo in East India. Visitors to the mall are welcome to inspect the EVs, schedule test drives, look through available vehicle loans, and even make a reservation while they are there.
