Move aside Byomkesh Baskhi, Shabor Dasgupta, as here come Mitin Mashi. Suchitra Bhattacharya’s created much loved character will be now made in a feature film for the audiences. This will be a welcome break for the audiences as they will be able to see a female detective.

Koel Mallick will be seen in the role of Mitin Mashi in this upcoming Bengali film to be directed by Arindam Sil. The film is based on the story Hathey Matro Teentey Din.

Vinay Pathak will also be seen in a pivotal role in the film. Apart from him Arunima Ghosh, Subhrajit Dutta will be seen in other pivotal roles in the film.

Koel will take up martial arts lessons soon to fit in the role of Mitin Mashi.

The film is likely to release during the Pujas.
