Kolkata Tourism Fair 2023 To Be Inaugurated On 16th June
Kolkata Tourism Fair 2023 will be organized from 16th to 18th June at Khudiram Anushilan Kendra. This event was announced at a press conference held recently. It was graced by Kaushik Kar, Subrata Bhowmick, and Amitava Sarkar.
The tourism industry employs lakhs of people all over the country. But this industry was affected due to the pandemic. Now the industry is slowly returning to its old pace. However, still, there are many problems that plague this hospitality sector. Fraud travel agents and tourists getting cheated of their money are some of the problems.
At this event, tourists will be able to interact with State Tourism Departments, and Travel Trade Members and plan their vacations accordingly. The exhibition has been planned strategically before the Durga Puja so that one can book their air or rail tickets in advance.
More than 100 participants are expected at this tourism fair.
The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Babul Supriyo, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, IT and Electronics, Tourism Department, Government of West Bengal, Anil Kr Sahu, Commissioner and MD, Chattisgarh Tourism Board, Pradip Kr Gupta, Deputy Director, Bihar Tourism, Piyali Basak, Mountaineer and Kaushik Kar, Vice President, Travel Agent Association Of Bengal.
With the help of this tourism fair, tourists will be made aware of cybercrime happening in this sector and also can plan their vacations with credible travel agents.
