The fourth song launch of the upcoming Bengali film Konttho took place in the presence of director Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Paoli Dam, Jaya Ahsan, Anindya, Prashmita and others. The song launch took place at Flurys, Park Street.

The song is titled Bornoporichoy and features Jaya Ahsan.

The story of ‘Konttho’ tells the real life story of a laryngeal cancer survivor. In the film, Shiboprosad Mukherjee plays the character of RJ Arjun Mullick, while Paoli Dam plays the role of his wife Pritha and Jaya Ahsan will be seen as a speech therapist.

Speaking at the event, Shiboprosad Mukherjee said “We decided to launch the song at Flurys because some important sequences between Paoli and Jaya took place here. Flurys therefore is very much attached to the film. So we thought of releasing the fourth song of the film here”.

Jaya Ahsan said “It was a privilege to work with Shibu da and Nandita di in the film. The story tells the tale of a person’s fight against the deadly disease cancer. The story is different and it was a great opportunity as an actress in the film. I play a speech therapist so I had to understand the nuances of the work of a speech therapist better as I had to teach Shibu da all these things in the film. It was a great experience”.

Paoli Dam mentioned that the music of the film was among the finest that she had heard in a long time.

The song was performed at the event.

The film is eyeing for release on 10^th May.
