Korea Travel Fiesta 2024 Sets New Records For Visitor Interactions
Setting new records for visitor interactions, the Korea Travel Fiesta 2024, which was organized by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) India, wrapped up its two-day spectacular event at DLF Avenue Saket. With its engaging performances, Korean beauty treatments, and delectable food, the event made a lasting impression.
The Korea Travel Fiesta 2024, which took place from October 19 to 20, drew excited tourists ready to experience the colorful K-Wave. Actress Anushka Sen, a well-known representative of Korea Tourism, energized the audience and celebrated Korea’s cultural legacy by bringing her star power to the occasion.
Nearly 400 members of the Indian travel industry participated in a remarkable 1,000+ successful business-to-business (B2B) meetings with 17 exhibitors, including Destination Management Companies (DMCs), top attractions like the K-Beauty brand Jenny House, the JUMP performance team, and airlines like Korean Air and Air India, at the Korea Tourism Roadshow 2024. This was held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre on October 18. India and Korea developed enduring economic relationships as a result of this platform.
More than 350 people attended the Roadshow’s Gala Night, which included important players in the Indian travel sector. Strong business relationships were further cemented during the day when Super 30 Founder Mr. Anand Kumar, Padma Shri Awardee and Korea Tourism Honorary Ambassador, honored the evening with his presence. Ms. Anushka Sen, a well-known actress, and fellow Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism, joined him, bringing a youthful spirit to the festivities.
A special section of the event was dedicated to honoring KTO’s esteemed travel industry partners, such as well-known Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and long-standing travel agents, who received awards for their important contributions to promoting Indian travel to Korea.
Visitors found the Korea Travel Fiesta 2024 to be a sensory extravaganza. Dynamic K-style entertainment performances were on display, including a Comic Martial Arts show by JUMP and the well-known K-Pop dancing act of OneWay Crew, who traveled specifically from Korea to highlight the finest aspects of Korean culture. While the K-Food Zone showcased a wide variety of Korea’s culinary gems, the K-Beauty Zone provided beauty services by leading businesses like Jenny House and Amore Pacific.
Visitors were guided through various experience zones during the K-Stamp Rally Adventure, which offered thrilling K-merchandise as incentives. The Opening Ceremony featured the K-Lucky Draw. The winners received highly sought-after items, such as a Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, a Samsung S24 smartphone, and a round-trip ticket to Korea from Thai Airways.
The Korea Festival is a major factor in promoting travel and business between South Korea and India annually. South Korea’s combination of contemporary attractions, such as Seoul’s vibrant nightlife and the tranquil surroundings of Jeju Island, attracted an increasing number of Indian tourists in 2023. South Korea is a popular destination for Indian tourists because of its straightforward visa requirements, direct aircraft connections, and a wide range of entertainment, culinary, and cosmetic options.
