To increase the readership of classic Bengali novels and foster a relationship between readers and authors, the Publishers & Booksellers Guild, the organization behind the International Kolkata Book Fair, started “Tomar Amar Boimela” in housing complexes and blocks throughout Kolkata.

The exhibition was first held at the Regent Park Government Housing Estate Community Center before moving on to Santoshpur’s Utsav-Utsarg Housing Complex.

The inauguration of the last phase of the event took place on Friday, 15th July, at FD Block Community Centre, FD Park, Bidhannagar in the presence of eminent personalities like Shri Samaresh Majumdar, renowned Indian Author, Banibrata Banerjee, Mayor in Council HealthKrishna Chakraborty, Mayor of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, Sudhangshu Shekhar Dey, President, Publishers and Booksellers Guild and Tridib Kumar Chattopadhyay, General Secretary, Publishers and Booksellers Guild.

The book fair will continue till 17th July, Sunday from 2 pm till 9 pm.
