Written by poet Alo Basu, the short film “Rajanigandha” is produced by Rimmi Mukherjee and directed by Dadasaheb Phalke film festival awardee and Bharat Dignity Award recipient filmmaker and music director Abhishek Basu.

Actors Debopriyo Mukherjee, and Deepak Halder will be seen as special characters in the film. Deepak Halder will seen as Ratan in the film. Kamalika Banerjee will be seen as Rajani in the film. The poster revealing the looks of Ratan and Rajani was unveiled recently by the makers of the film.

The film explores the life of a sex worker named Bijoya, who goes by the name Rajani. Abhishek Basu shows a specific day in the film when an odd and startling thing occurs in Rajani’s life.

According to director Abhishek Basu, viewers will see an emotionally charged, delicate movie and, for the first time in a long while, see Kamalika Banerjee in a unique role with a variety of facets.
