“I will like to clear the fact that my film Love Aaj Kal Porshu is not inspired from the Bollywood film Love Aaj Kal. This is an original story” said director Pratim D Gupta at the trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film Love Aaj Kal Porshu.

Gracing the trailer launch was Paoli Dam, Arjun Chakraborty, Madhumita Sarcar, Anindita Bose, Dev Arijit, Nikhita Gandhi and the director himself.

The trailer of the film shows the story of three couples, hence the name of the story Love Aaj Kal Porshu. All the three couples are enacted by Arjun and Madhumita. The three pairs are Abhishek-Tapsee, Abhiroop-Tripti and Abhijit-Trina and how the entry of Kalki (Paoli Dam) changes their lives is what the film all about.

“She is the mastermind and game changer who is orchestrating the entire plan in the film. She brings change in the life of the love birds. Why and how? For that you will have to watch the film. In this film, Kalki is the ‘but’. This is a different character that I have attempted for the first time. When I heard the story, I was speechless as I have not seen such a character in a film before. This is a wonderfully different character” said Paoli Dam.

Anirban Chakrabarti (Ganesh), Anindita Bose (Leena), Abhijit Guha (Botuk) will be seen in important roles in the film.

Nikhita Gandhi sang the song Shune Ne live along with Dev Arijit at the event. “I am glad Pratim again gave me this song which has been made sizzling by the performances of the actors. The song has been extremely well received and I am grateful I worked with this team of Pratim and SVF once again” said Nikhita.

“It was so interesting to see myself on the big screen. I had been waiting to see the trailer and now that I have seen it, I am excited. Hope the audience will also love the film” said Madhumita. The actress loved the look of the character from Porshu in the film.

The film is eyeing for release on 14^th February.
