The shooting for the upcoming Bengali film Iskabon started on 3^rd February. The last leg of the shooting of the film was recently shot in Kolkata.

Iskabon narrates a story set in Golbibi Bajar in Jangalmahal. A local leader known as Narenji forms his own party and tries to fight for the rights of the people. The film is about Maoist activities and how without the notion of Narenji a love story develops within his party between “Golapi” and Lt Cornel Shib Mukherjee.

Love and politics form a very strong backdrop of the movie where hatred plays, rage and revenge play the antagonist . The movie will be shot in all the original locations.

Anindya Mukhopadhyay scored the music of the movie. Anweshaa Dutta Gupta, Rupankar Bagchi will be lending their voices to the songs in the film.

Debutant director Mandip Saha’s film stars Anamika Chakraborty, Sanju, and Saurav Das in lead roles. Arindam Ganguly plays an important role in the film. Sanju will be making his debut with Iskabon. He will play the love interest of the character played by Anamika. He will be seen in the role of Lt Cornel Shib Mukherjee.

ISKABON is being produced under the banner SMD Entertainment under the mentorship of industrialist Mr. Sk Abdul Lalan.
