The days of being “eternally unconditionally yours” are long gone. Relationships are becoming more transactional and fragile in our fast-paced environment. Families are quickly disintegrating, and marriages are increasingly shorter-lived. Have the equations for love and marriage also changed? In its upcoming new show “Love Biye Aajkal”, Star Jalsha is prepared to explore the modern dynamic equations of love and marriage through the lives of Omkar and Shraban.

The plot of the show revolves around the lives of Shraban and Omkar, two separate people who were forced into an impromptu contract marriage. Relationships nowadays are notably fragile, frequently characterized by a general reluctance to commit, but this show takes a novel approach by exploring whether love can grow under the restrictions of a contract marriage.

What actually transpired in Shraban’s life to require her to perform in the Scandal bar and lounge? And why did she decide to accept Omkar’s proposal to enter a contract marriage? The union has a “No Romance” clause.

The show is produced by Jisshu Ujjal Sengupta Productions, under Nilanjana Sengupta and Jisshu U Sengupta.

Nilanjana Sengupta said “Love marriages or arranged marriages often lose their love. What happens in a contract marriage that does begin with a no-love clause? Do they fall in love? This is the basic premise of the show. Omkar has a big family but does Shraban have a family? To know all these answers, watch the show”.

The new addition to Star Jalsha’s content lineup, “Love Biye Aajkaal,” looks to be a breath of fresh air for viewers. The program is positioned to make waves in the entertainment industry thanks to its intriguing idea, gifted cast, and forward-thinking production team.

Jisshu Sengupta said “This is the first time that a bold story will be shown on television. Contract marriage is something new and will appeal to both urban and not-so-urban audiences. We aim to break some barriers in television with this show.

He also praised Moumita for her hard work in portraying the character of Shraban. “She has been doing workshops tirelessly to understand the character. Moreover, Om has been helping her a lot to understand the scenes and emote properly” added Jisshu.

Omkar, a charming businessman and owner of chains of lounges and bars in Kolkata, is portrayed by seasoned actor Om Prakash Sahani. The gifted newcomer Moumita Sarkar plays the musical prodigy Shraban.

Om said “This is a new story with a different concept. I do not know when such a concept has been presented on television before. Omkar is a man who wants to lead his life on his own terms. He is concerned about his aim in life. To prove himself, he can go to any lengths. There are many sides to his character”.

Moumita who is making her debut in television with this show said “I have been getting a lot of support from everyone and that has been helping me emote better in the scenes. Of course I am nervous but I am trying my best to give my best in each scene”.
