A press meet for the film Love in Ukraine took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film along with designer Indroneel Mukherjee.

Love in Ukraine is the debut film of actor Vipin Kaushik, and the actress of this film is a Ukrainian actress Lizabeta .

Lead actor Vipin said, “This film will be a great chance to see the beautiful locales of Ukraine before it was destroyed by the war”.

While shooting the film in different locations in Ukraine the cast and crew did not realize that it would be the last film to be shot in the country before the war.  It is also a coincidence that the film has a sequence where the antagonists bomb a Ukrainian village.

The reactions of his Ukrainian cast and how they are waiting for the film’s release have deeply moved filmmaker Nitin Kumar Gupta, who directed the film Love In Ukraine.’ The majority of his cast and crew are still stuck in Ukraine, according to the filmmaker, who finished filming just days before Russia invaded the country.

“Lead actress Liza is still trapped in Dnipro, action director Yura is separated from his wife and daughter in Kiev, Lola and Oles are in western Ukraine, and Ruslan and Boris are currently engaged in combat.  Others include Yulia, a makeup artist who fell in love during our shoot, Roman from the outskirts of Lviv, Larissa from Bucha, who provided her castle for the shoot, which is now in ruins, and Lyuchia, Konstantin, Vladimir, and Mila, a 5-year-old girl. I’m still trying to reach Misha, the fencing coach who plays a professional swordfighter, Artem, and Volodym,” said the director.

Meanwhile, the filmmaker also adds that he has received a lot of support for the screening of the film as well.

Since the script needed a fresh face from India to go with the Ukrainian girl, it took months of auditions to finalize the lead actor. Vipin Kaushik has years of theatre experience. He has certain skills that helped the director finalize him. He is a Taekwondo gold medallist, has an impressive bass voice, and can pull off comedy, which in my opinion is the most difficult to master.

The people of Ukraine are excited about the film as this will be showcased in Ukraine as a token of love from India.

 Love in Ukraine will be releasing on the 27^th of May 2022.
