Mach Machli and More’s Food Festival Banglar Rasona Inaugurated
To celebrate the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Kolkata food joint Mach Machli and More have come up with a new food festival for food lovers. The food festival will have dishes from Bangladesh. The food festival has been titled Banglar Rasona.
The food festival was inaugurated in the presence of singers Sidhu, Lopamudra Mitra, Rupak Saha, and others.
Two types of thali have been prepared for this food festival. One is the Vegetarian thali that is priced at Rs 375. It consists of Burhani, Kachkolar Kofta, Bhaat/Basanti Pulao, Koraisuti die dal, Begun bharta/Begun bhaja, Chanar dalna, and Misti doi.
The non-vegetarian thali is priced at Rs 395. It consists of Burhani, Murgir mangser jaali kabab, Bhaat/Basanti pulao, Koraisuti die dal, Kachki machher bora, Koimachher horogouri/Shol machher pora and Mishti Doi.
Speaking at the occasion, Lopamudra Mitra said “I cannot cook and so I become very interested when a new restaurant comes up near my home. The offerings are like home-cooked dishes. The fish recipes look interesting and I am looking forward to visiting the restaurant with my husband”.
Sidhu who had composed the jingle for the festival also sang a Bangladeshi folk song at the inauguration. His parents hailed from Bangladesh and he was quite aware of the different Bangladeshi recipes.
The festival will begin on 21st February.
