The mahurat of the upcoming Bengali film Sheshbela took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.

Swapna, a simple girl with broken roots, finds love in the unsaid warmth of her schoolteacher Rupak in a quiet village where dreams whisper. However, fate crafts a different tale, one that is marked by sacrifice, quiet, and the ultimate blossom of an unspoken love.

Rohan Sen is the director of the film. “The story is focused on the journey of Swapna. Her father is an alcoholic, and her mother is sick. 90 percent of the film will be shot in a village in Birbhum. We will shoot the film for a day in Kolkata. We will showcase the problems and happenings in villages. The characters in the film will show how the villagers are in real life. This story is mainly the story of Swapna and Rupak”.

The story is by Adityanath Mukhopadhyay.

The screenplay is by Keshabananda Mukhopadhyay, Anubhab Ghosh, and Rohan Sen.

The cast of the film consists of Surangana Bandyopadhyay and Satyam Bhattacharya.

Surangana, who plays Swapna in the film, said, “This is my second work with the director. She had earlier worked in a web series, Sohochori. We will shoot the film in Birbhum. I found the story interesting, and hence I agreed to the film. The story is set in a village, and the characters go through great struggles in their lives. I will work with Satyam da again after Ballabhpurer Roopkotha. I will get to see how we both have developed as actors after that film”.

Satyam plays Rupak in the film. This is his first film with the director. According to the actor, Rupak is a simple character who lives in the village. He was looking forward to working with Surangana in the film.

Ishan Mitra will handle the music of the film.

The production house behind the film is Amaladityas Films and Creative Works. The producers are Keshabananda Mukherjee and Mithun Chakraborty.

The shoot will begin soon.
