Cheene Badaam evokes nostalgia in the minds of most people. Whether you gorge on them during watching a film or spending time with your lover- the importance of Cheene Badaam cannot be neglected. To evoke that sense of nostalgia, director Shieladitya Moulik has come up with a new film titled Cheene Badaam.

The Mahurat of this upcoming Bengali film took place recently in the presence of the director and the lead cast of the film-Yash Dasgupta and Ena Saha.

The story of the film is about Rishav who is from a technical background and develops a mobile app called Cheene Badam (Peanuts). This app helps to find friends for lonely people. His girlfriend Trishna helps him in making this app. However, with this project, their personal relationship is turned topsy-turvy. They turn to the app for finding friends. What happens next?

The other cast members have not been finalized yet. Since the shooting schedule was suddenly decided, the other cast members will be finalized soon.

Yash said “I am very excited to start a new project. We have gone through a very bad phase due to the pandemic. Not only me but the technicians are equally excited to work again. And now we are coming back to work and this is nothing short of a celebration for us. As artists, we love facing the camera and I am looking forward to the shoot”.

“There is no alternative to a cinema hall. We may watch on OTT but the feeling is never the same when we watch a film on the big screen. We have been locked in our homes for a long time. And it will be a change for us to go the halls and watch films again” said Ena.

Yash felt that with this film, he will be able to break his image and show him in a new light in front of his fans. He was a fan of the works of the director and he was looking forward to working with him.

The music will be composed by Soumya-Rit. The director said that he wanted to present the love songs in a new way for the audience.

The shoot of the film will be done in Kolkata.

The shoot will begin from the second week of September.

The director has plans of releasing the film this year. However, It all depends on the pandemic.
