The Mahurat of the upcoming Bengali film Pratidwandi took place recently. The director Saptaswa Basu along with the cast graced the event.

The film revolves around Dr. Bakshi (Saswata Chatterjee) who seeks the help of Siddharta and his team of private investigators when his son gets kidnapped from school. While investigating, the team finds out that the kidnapping is connected to a series of recent murders in Kolkata. A maths teacher, Sukumar Sen (Rudranil Ghosh) appears to have a grudge and rivalry with Dr. Bakshi. So, is this maths teacher behind these crimes? What is the reason for this enmity?

The film stars Saswata Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Saayoni Ghosh, Paean Sarkar, Rini Ghosh, Rajdeep Sarkar, Mahi Kar, and others.

The shooting of the film will begin from 22nd September 2020.
