Mallhar Dance Academy’s Amazing Annual Cultural Program
Mallhar Dance Academy successfully held its 15th Annual Cultural Program at Saltlake’s EZCC Auditorium.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries, like Brahmachari Mural Bhai, General Secretary Cum Trustee of Dakshineswar Ramkrishna Sangha Adyapeath, Debashis Sen, Former IAS, CMD HIDCO & Founder Director & CEO of New Bengal Consulting, Kanchana Moitra, Renowned Actress, Lajbanti Roy, Renowned Singer, Anjan Bose, Managing Director, Aurora Film Corporation, Dr. Manoj Khanna, Renowned Hair Transplant Specialist, Ratan Jhawar, Entrepreneur and Sreetama Barik, Founder and Dance Teacher, Mallhar Dance Academy.
Dance and culture were vibrantly celebrated at the event, with a variety of performances showcasing both traditional and contemporary styles.
Highlights of the evening included Sangachhadwam, Vande Mataram, and Naboshakti, as well as unique segments like Story of Dev Anand, Juto Abishkar, and Gram Bangla.
People were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the arts with the prestigious Kurnish Awards. In honor of his remarkable career, Padma Shri, Purna Das Baul, the esteemed Baul Samrat, was given a special award. The event also included Saanjhbaati, a Bidhannagar Police program for senior persons, which allows them to interact, mingle, and experience a feeling of peace and togetherness. This program offers a venue for kids to interact, engage, and feel connected to their grandparents, as many kids these days do not get the chance to see or stay with them.
Ten kids attended the Mallhar Dance Academy when it was first established in 2010 under the direction of Guru Sreetama Barik. Children and adults from a variety of backgrounds have joined the academy over the years, brought together by their love of dance. For homemakers who want to enjoy leisure activities and a respite from daily responsibilities, the academy also provides dance classes.
The 15th Annual Cultural program is testimony of the academy’s amazing work that they have been doing over the years.
