“It is a myth that only South films are adapted by Bollywood. Many of my films are in talks for adaptation in the South. The fact is that when a producer or a director likes a story, they want to adapt it in their own language and show it to their own audience” said Kartik Aaryan while promoting Shehzada in Kolkata.

Before the official press conference, the actor graced a meet-and-greet session hosted by the Narula Institute of Technology and JIS University, under the JIS group, at the college campus. The event saw a huge turnup of students of Narula Institute of Technology and JIS University and they had a gala time interacting with the actor.

The actor mentioned that coming to Kolkata before the release of his film has turned out to be lucky for him.

The protagonist of the tale is a young man, Bantu from the middle class who gets along strangely well with his father. Later, when he learns that his biological father is rich, a series of comedic events occur that have an impact on everyone’s life.

“I am like Bantu in many ways. I love my family and am very protective of them. I am street smart like Bantu and so on. Hence I could identify myself with this character very much” said the actor.

The other cast members of the film include Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, and others in key roles.

Kartik has also co-produced this film. “There came a time when someone had to step up and handle the production. My co-producers accepted my support and I am grateful for that. I got to experience another new facet of film making” added the actor.

The actor was full of praise for Salman Khan who had mentioned the film. “We did Character Dheela 2.0 which was an updated version of the blockbuster hit song of Salman Khan. The fact that he appreciated our efforts was a huge thing for me” said Kartik.

While heading back to the airport, Kartik took the yellow taxi to experience the city.

The film is directed by Rohit Dhawan.

The music is composed by Pritam.

Shehzada is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Allu Arvind, Aman Gill, and Kartik Aaryan.

The film is set to release on 17th February 2023.
