Marathi Film Puglya Wins Best Film and Best Director Award At International Film Festival
After getting appreciation from the audiences and the jury at Moscow Film Festival 2021 with his debut Marathi Film Puglya, Director Vinod Peter has now added two more feathers to his cap.
Puglya has won the ‘Best Film’ award at the prestigious ‘The Gladiator Film Festival (TGFF) Turkey’ and also the ‘Best Director’ award at Onyko Estonia.
The film portrays the different feelings of kids and their undying sentimental attachments.
Speaking about the film’s latest achievements, Peter said that he was short of words as the film was performing well on the international levels. The director used to dream about Indian films getting big awards at the international level. He was glad that the Indian film could perform so well at the international level. At some film festivals, the Marathi film was the only Indian film to be awarded or selected.
Puglya has received awards at top film festivals like Moscow International Film Festival in Russia, London, Italy, Sweden, Australia, Philippines, Iran, Argentina, Lebanon, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Spain, Philippines, Israel, USA, and Canada.
The film has to date, won over 47 awards (and counting) and recognitions at numerous film festivals globally.
