“I want to be identified just as a singer more than a political personality. My better half is music and art, and I’m connected to both. You young people are aware of your desires. I knew what I wanted to do when I worked in a bank in 1991. Keep that desire alive, that fire burning. On my whiteboard, I scribbled something 25 years back in Mumbai. Although there was pressure from family to return, dreams come true if you hold onto them. Make your art your religion and believe in it. It will come true. I follow Gautam Buddha’s teaching that the mind is everything; you become what you wish to be. My mantra is Paulo Coelho’s if you want something dearly, the universe conspires to give it to you” said Babul Supriyo.
