Medica Launch Special Paediatric & Cervical Cancer Initiatives
On National Doctors’ Day, the Medica Group of Hospitals and Rotary have joined together to create a noteworthy partnership. A collaborative effort between Rotary District 3291 and Medica Superspecialty Hospital aims to raise awareness and encourage screening for pediatric and cervical cancer. This innovative effort, which aims to assist marginalized communities in West Bengal, will focus on providing essential support and healthcare services.
Dr. Krishnendu Gupta, the new District Governor of Rotary District 3291 and Professor & Unit Head, Dept of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences, Prof. (Dr.) Subir Ganguly, Senior Consultant, Advisor, Radiation Oncology, Dr. Sourav Datta, Senior Consultant & Director Medica Oncology, Dr. Arunava Roy, Senior Consultant & Head (Gynecologic Oncology & Women Cancer Initiative, Mr. R. Udayan Lahiry, Managing Director, Medica Group of Hospitals, and Mr. Ayanabh DebGupta, Jt. Managing Director, Medica Group of Hospitals graced the event.
This effort is a step toward Medica and Rotary’s commitment to improving public health through their services and programs. Medica Superspecialty Hospital and Rotary dignitaries honored the renowned specialists from Medica Oncology, including Dr. Arunava Roy, Dr. Amit Kumar, Dr. Harsh Dhar, Dr, Sudeep Das, and Dr. Sayan Das, in recognition of their services to the field of oncology. These medical professionals should be honored for their commitment to the field and contributions to the advancement of oncology care.
Dr. Krishnendu Gupta, District Governor, Rotary District 3291 said, “This year, screening and prevention of cervical cancer are our main priorities. Our main focus areas are cervical cancer screening and prevention and awareness and screening for thalassemia. To preserve our community, we aim to work with Medica Hospital to end cervical cancer screening. As part of our ongoing commitment to tackling important health concerns, Rotary is demonstrating our commitment to making a real difference with this initiative with the Medica Oncology team. To close this gap, we use a crowdfunding corpus fund to offer financial support for the first stages of treatment. We will work to make sure that no child is refused treatment with Medica at our side”.
With such initiatives launch, Medica ensures that awareness spreads throughout the society.
