With the theme of “Get it Right, Make it Safe”, Peerless Hospital in Kolkata successfully hosted MediSafeCon 2024, its premier one-day conference. The conference was centered on raising awareness about accurate diagnosis and suitable treatments. In keeping with this year’s World Patient Safety Day topic of “Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety” MediSafeCon was devoted to increasing patient safety by tackling the serious issues of diagnostic errors in healthcare.

Missed, delayed, or inaccurate diagnoses are examples of diagnostic errors that can lead to inappropriate treatment, injury to patients, or even death. Leading physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and medico-legal specialists from West Bengal and throughout India convened at MediSafeCon 2024 to discuss doable tactics to guarantee accurate diagnosis and lower medical errors. The importance of precise diagnostic procedures, treatment interventions, and interdisciplinary cooperation was underlined in the workshops.
