Meesho announced its flagship festive sale event, Mega Blockbuster Sale, from September 23 to September 27, 2022.

Furthering its mission to democratize e-commerce for everyone, the company will continue to boost access and affordability for the country’s heterogeneous customer base.

Meesho strives to help customers find a wide selection of goods at the lowest rates by facilitating the discovery of over 7 lakh vendors and 6.5 crore active product listings across 30 categories. Meesho expanded its regional reach in advance of the holiday sale this year by introducing eight more regional languages to the app: Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, and Odia. Around 60% of orders during the five-day yearly sale last year came from tier 4+ regions.

In preparation for the holiday season, Meesho is advising and collaborating closely with sellers on a range of business-related topics, including demand forecasting and order volume management. On the Supplier Learning Hub, the organization has developed a complete training program with educational infographics and simple-to-follow films on choosing catalogs and best practices for sales events. Small business involvement in the holiday sale is therefore anticipated to increase 4X over the previous year.

Meesho has partnered with nine well-known celebrities across the country, namely Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Rohit Sharma, Rashmika Mandanna, Kapil Sharma, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi Sivakumar, Ram Charan, and Sourav Ganguly, to spread awareness about the company’s value propositions.

Meesho has partnered with major wallets like PhonePe and Paytm for offers on payments, instant bank discounts, and exclusive offers on ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ by Simpl and LazyPay.
