Siddhartha Sankar Ray, better known as Sidhu, is a renowned singer, composer, lyricist, playback writer, and actor. He left the medical profession and formed the band Cactus. With the film Nil Nirjane, he entered the world of films and started composing for films.

On his birthday, Sidhu released his debut book of poetry Modhyoraater Blues. The event was organized at Chow Chai.

Some of the poems in the book are ten years old while some are more old. The poems are written at various times. Some poems among them have become songs while some have remained as poems. The book contains 21 poems.

The event saw the presence of Pota, Anindya Chatterjee, Upal Sengupta, Soumitra Roy, Prabuddha Banerjee, Anupam Roy, Gabu, Prashmita Paul, Ujjaini Mukherjee, Chandrima Bhattacharya, Shatarup Ghosh and others.

After the book was released, Sidhu, Anindya Chatterjee, Upal Sengupta, Prashmita Paul, Gabu, Ujjaini Mukherjee, and Gabu sang songs. Prabuddha Banerjee accompanied them on the guitar.

The band members of Cactus were also present.

Abhijan Publishers published the book and it will be available at the upcoming Kolkata Book Fair.
