“Mother Teresa & Me” is the inspiring tale of three amazing women whose lives are impacted by love, compassion, and hope.

The cast Jacqueline Fritschi-Cornaz, Deepti Naval, Debashree Chakraborty, and Director Kamal Musale visited Kolkata to launch the trailer at The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata.

In this film, Mother Teresa’s early years in India (starting in the middle of the 1940s) are described, along with her efforts to aid the needy, ill, and terminally ill. It also relates the tale of Kavita, a young British woman of Indian descent who visits India today in order to find the answers to some important concerns. The movie will only be available for viewing in theatres and will be distributed in Hindi and English. This fascinating tale of intertwined fates is directed by the Swiss-Indian Kamal Musale, who is most known for his work on the films “Curry Western” and “Millions Can Walk”.

The film is directed and written by Kamal Musale. “The film is not a biopic but shows her struggles and how she brought about changes in society through her work,” said the director.

Mother Teresa & Me is produced under the banner of Curry Western Movies (Pvt Ltd), Les Films du Lotus (Sàrl) & Kavita Teresa Film (Ltd).

Jacqueline Fritschi-Cornaz plays the role of Mother Teresa in the film. “I did a good amount of research to portray this role. Through this character, we wanted to show her loneliness, abandonment, and desperation. It is important to tell the world how much she was fighting with herself” said the actress.

The actress also added that after doing this film she became more confident and learned to trust herself. She also understood that all human beings can make a change in the world.

Deepti Naval said that she found the screenplay very interesting. “The script goes beyond the heart and soul of Mother Teresa. It shows you the real woman that she was. We all have an idea of her. But this film showcases her as a real human being”.

Apart from that, Vikram Kochhar, Bryan Lawrence, Heer Kaur, Kevin Mains, Lina Baishya, Shobu Kapoor, Mahi Ali Khan, Faith Knight, and Jack Gordon will be seen in pivotal roles.

The music score was composed by Peter Scherer, Annick Roddy, Walter Mair & Laurence Crevoisier.

Cinepolis and PEN Marudhar are going to release the film across India.”Mother Teresa & Me” will hit the screens on 5th May 2023.
