Genius Foundation, an initiative of Genius Consultant Limited signed an MoU with Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation to create Market Linkage and Entrepreneurship Development of the Chhau Mask Artisan in Charida, Purulia.

The MoU was signed in presence of Mr. R. P. Yadav, Chairman & Managing Director, of Genius Consultants Limited, and Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee, Chairman of Ascensive Group of Companies.

Also gracing the event was Smt. Shaon Sen, Additional Secretary, Department of Labour, Govt. of West Bengal, Shri. S. M. Ejaz Ahmed, Director, BOPTER, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, Shri. Bikram Das, SEO, NSDC, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, Smt. Moumita Deb, Asst. Director (H), Office of DC Handicraft, Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India,  Shri. The initiative will concentrate on creating domestic and international market connections to help artisans foster entrepreneurship at the grassroots level and instill the notion of operating as a group business.  Emphasis will be placed on educating the artisans about contemporary packaging methods.

According to the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, Genius Foundation will give funding to Ascensive Edu Skill Foundation, which will then carry out the course.

The eminent guests were felicitated at the event with flower bouquets and Chhau masks.

2. Sustainable livelihood development through market linkage and entrepreneurship development
