Mughlai Restaurant Aminia Introduces New Dishes To The Existing Menu
Aminia is a family-owned business and is among one of the oldest Mughlai restaurants in eastern India. They are well known for their quality and authenticity in serving Mughlai dishes.
Presently, it has over ten outlets all over Kolkata.
Catering to the needs of the customers, Aminia has introduced six new delicacies in their menu. And what does it include? Of course, there’s Biryani, and some new dishes as well.
The association of Kolkata and biryani dates can be traced to 150 years ago. In 1856 Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, the 10th Nawab of Oudh was banished from Lucknow by the British. He came to Calcutta. He settled on the outskirts of the city in Metiabruz and tried to recreate Lucknow. His grand banquets became a thing of the past. Financial constraints forced his cooks to think of ingenious ways to deal with the situation. Potatoes and eggs were added along with meat to prepare a wholesome Biryani. And thus the famous Calcutta Biryani was born.
The new additions to the menu are as follows:
- Chicken and Mutton Dum Handi Biryani
- Chicken and Paneer Tikka Dum Handi Biryani. This dish is currently being served only at its Golpark and Rajarhat outlets.
- Butter Chicken Kulcha. This dish is available at all outlets.
- Shahi Firni. This dish is currently being served only at its Golpark and Rajarhat outlets.
