The spirit of Christmas is in the air now that December has arrived. The Astor Hotel held its first-ever Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

The event was attended by eminent personalities like Mumtaz Sorcar, Kaushik, and Rajat among others.

A festive evening was made up of Santa cutouts, glistening wreaths, bunting, baubles, and pinecones, as well as Christmas music.

The Astor’s foyer and other areas were decked out in red, white, and plenty of glitter to enhance the mood.

The ceremony began with the Christmas tree being lit by the General Manager of The Astor Hotel, Mr. Amit Kobat.

Following the lighting of the Christmas tree, a group of singers entertained everyone with some foot-tapping holiday tunes. This was perceived as a happy, upbeat beginning to the exciting Christmas season.

A mindblowing display of seasonal delights was organized for the guests, including Christmas Special Mocktail, Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows, Tea Cakes, Rum Balls, Mulled wine followed by Mini Pizza, Assorted Bruschetta, Dimsums, Stuffed Mushrooms with Asparagus, and much more.

Everybody filled out a wish fulfillment note, which they then hung from the tree.

Chocolates and other treats were delivered by a staff member dressed as Santa.

With the tree lighting ceremony, The Astor welcomed the Yuletide spirit into the city.
