“Murderbaad Has An Amazing Shakespearean Structure”-Arnab Chatterjee

The press conference of the upcoming Bollywood film Murderbaad took place in the presence of director Arnab Chatterjee, Barun Chanda, Nakul Roshan Sachdev, Kanikka Kapur, and Subrata Dutta.

When a fellow traveler disappears, the romance between a Jaipur tour guide and an NRI unravels. He disappears as suspicion grows, setting off a nationwide search that results in one of the most startling criminal twists in contemporary India.

Subrata Dutta said, “The film has two portions, one in North Bengal and the other in Rajasthan. Arnab is the youngest and brightest director that I have worked with. He is very particular about what he wants. He has not compromised in any department in the film. I was amazed and excited by the Shakespearean structure of the film. Arnab has done a great job with this film”.

Kanikka Kapur revealed that she had sung a few lines of the Rabindrasangeet “Ami chini go chini” in the film. “There are many Bengali elements in the film, especially at the end of the film. This will be loved by the Bengali audience. I will not reveal much about the film, but the way the film has been made is interesting,” said the actress.

The director said that Satyajit Ray served as an inspiration for him. He is an ardent fan of Ray. “When we selected the venue for the press conference, I did not think of anything else. It was later that I realised that Mr. Ray’s house was nearby. So I took the entire team to show him the house, and this is how we began the day,” said Arnab.

Nakul said that he might have done something good in his life so that he could be a part of such a good project. “Arnab has an interesting way of narrating a story. He narrated the story till it reached a twist. Then he asked me to read the script at home. I was so amazed to read the script. I came to know about many new things that existed in the world,” said the actor.

The film is slated for release on July 18th.
