Musafir’s Trailer Out Now; To Change Modern Cinema
With great pride, Musafir Stories released the trailer for Maharaj, its first feature film. This Nirupam Dutta-directed picture, which delves far into experimentation, promises to change modern cinema with its mysterious story and provocative topics.
The trailer launch event at Calcutta Comedy Company was graced by Amrita Gagan Chakraborty, Souryadipta Mukherjee, and Gaurab Mukhoty.
Maharaj sets off on a voyage entwined with the lives of Rahul and Nandini, a young couple struggling with the intricacies of modern existence, against the backdrop of Kolkata. Their household was on the verge of disarray due to their inability to manage their personal and professional life until the entrance of an enigmatic cook named Maharaj. Maharaj delivers a tornado of change, filling their routines with newfound enthusiasm and inspiration as he streaks over their universe like a comet across the night sky. A collision of views that threatens to tear apart their lives is caused by the labyrinth of secrets and hidden ambitions that lay beneath his supposedly kind exterior.
“Maharaj serves as a touching reminder of the enduring power of forgiveness and the fragility of human connection as it unfolds. This film is poised to grip the audience through deep-rooted storytelling, blend elements of drama, mystery, and existential inquiry” said director Nirupam Dutta.
On May 3, 2024, Maharaj will be released in theatres in West Bengal.
