The music launch of docu-feature on Uttam Kumar titled Jete Nahi Dibo took place in the presence of director Prabir Roy, Sujan Mukherjee, Swastika Dutta, Ashok Roy and others.

The docu-feature is a glowing tribute to the legend Uttam Kumar. It will show his contribution to the industry, his personal attachment with the technicians and team and also his immense acting capabilities.

The concept and direction is by Prabir Roy. The script and dialogue is by Ashok Roy. The music director is Diptesh Pradipta. The lyrics have been composed by Satinath Kundu. Sagnik Sen and Preety Basu have lent their voices to the songs in this docu-feature.

The cast of the docu-feature consists of Sujan Mukherjee, Mallika Sinha Roy, Swastika Dutta, Shakuntala Barua, Debraj Roy, Dulal Lahiri, Saikat Mitra and others.

Swastika Dutta plays the role of Ushoshi in the docu-feature. “I play an actress of the 1980’s. It is through her eyes that we get to see Uttam Kumar’s life. This was a huge opportunity for me as an actress. The audiences have seen me doing commercial films or serials or advertisements. Now they will see me in a different role and which I hope they will love” said the actress.

Sujan Mukherjee plays the role of Uttam Kumar in the docu-feature. The actor was thrilled to be a part of this project. He narrated how he had met Uttam Kumar at a very young age. The actor also added how Uttam Kumar was an institution in himself and that he has been inspiring actors over so many years.

The length of the docu-feature is 116 mins 04 secs.
