Music album A Tribute to Kamal Das Gupta was released in 1998. However a new album has been remixed and remastered with original vocalist Shushmita Anis.

The album launch saw the presence of iconic Bangladeshi singer Shusmita Anis and other eminent dignitaries.

The songs has been rendered by Shusmita was directed by Feroza Begum. The songs have been remixed and remastered  and will be easily available across all audio platforms and also on Shusmita Anis’ YouTube Channel.

Kamal Das Gupta was a legendary music director and composer who had directedalmost 8000 songs in the time period between 1940’s to 1950’s.

There are ten songs in the album. Some of the songs in the album are Amar Chayati Dekhechi, Peeu Peeu Gaye Papiya and so on.

Speaking at the event, Shushmita Anis said that many of the songs are those which her aunt wanted her to sing. Those songs have never been released by any artist. She was thankful to God for getting the chance to sing such great songs.

The songs will be available digitally for the listeners on the birthday of Kamal Das Gupta and Feroza Begum, which is on 28^th July.
