Chhayanat (Kolkata) is thriving in their oeuvre to work with Kazi Nazrul Islam’s creations. This time they organised an evening of music and poetry-Amare Debona Bhulite at Ichhebari, Siliguri.

The event introduced and engaged the audience with varied creations of the Rebel Poet. ‘Amare Debona Bhulite’, as the event was titled, began with the group songs by the members of Chhayanat(Kolkata).

Prangna Adhikari, Indrani Lahiri, Arnab Mukherjee and Minakshi Banerjee presented a melange of poetry by Nazrul. Anirban Dasgupta, Surupa Mallik and Somerita Mallik enchanted the audience with their performance of Nazrulgeeti. Somerita, the President of the organisation, beautifully rendered the folk numbers in her melodious voice.

This programme was designed by Somerita. The entire endeavour was supported by Abhaya Basu from Ichhebari.
