Eminent music director Kalyan Sen Borat recently completed 50 glorious years of his musical journey. A musical event was organized jointly by Aikataan/ Calcutta Choir/ Shinjan’ Raddur to pay tribute to the living legend.

Kalyan Sen Borat has been actively composing music for the last few decades for films, TV serials, radio, tele-films and so on.

Eminent personalities like Haimanti Shukla, Indrani Sen, Lopamudra Mitra, Urmimala Basu, Imon Chakraborty and others graced the event.

Speaking at the event, Indrani Sen said “Many thought initially that I can only sing a particular genre of songs. It was Kalyan da who believed in me and gave me different kinds of songs to sing in films and serials. He is senior to me and I pay my respect to him on such an auspicious occasion”.

Kalyan Sen Borat thanked the audience for the immense love and support that they have given him during this long journey of fifty years.

The event also saw the release of a special cover on Calcutta Choir by India Post West Bengal Circle.

The two day celebration took place at University Institute and EZCC respectively.
