Peechha Karti Parchhaiyaan, a teleplay, will resonate with progressive Bengali women, who have always been incredibly progressive. This is the opinion of actor Priyamvada Kant.

The actor, who portrays a fierce rebel in the upcoming Zee Theatre teleplay, credits her Bengali background for inspiring her love of the arts.

Since making her television debut in the 2010 series Bairi Piya, Priyamvada has become an increasingly well-liked celebrity. She is a versatile talent who is most known for playing Sharda in Tenali Rama and for conceptualizing the Zee TV series Sethji. She will now appear in Zee Theatre’s teleplay, Peechha Karti Parchhaiyaan, as a lively young woman named Reena.

The tale, which is an adaptation of the classic play “Ghosts” by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, centers on Reena, a self-willed rebel living in a medieval home shrouded in mystery. Priyamvada is confident that ladies from her birthplace of Kolkata will find particular resonance in the teleplay.

“Bengali women have always been incredibly progressive and were leading forces in the liberation movement. They aren’t hesitant to express their thoughts and have a voice in feminism and literature. And I do not doubt that women all around the nation will find resonance in this story” said the actress.

Priyamvada said, “I was born and brought up in a typical Bengali household where it was very important to learn classical music and dance, paint, do your crafts, and take part in sports”.

She credits her childhood in Kolkata for inspiring her diverse variety of creative pursuits.

She quickly became a professional dancer after learning Odissi. She also learned music. “Because both of my parents are artists, Bengali culture, literature, and the arts are ingrained in me. Naturally, I’m drawn to theater and all forms of art. Because it’s in my DNA, I have worked in a variety of media, including web films, plays, television, and dance performances,” the actress added.

The teleplay also stars Ila Arun, KK Raina, Param Singh, and Vijay Kashyap. It is adapted by Ila Arun, directed for stage by actor and director K.K. Raina and the filming director is Saurabh Shrivastava. The teleplay “Peecha Karti Parchhaiyaan” will be available on Dish TV Rangmanch Active, Airtel Spotlight, and D2H Rangmanch Active.
