Nababarsha Boi Utsab Inauguration To Take Place On 16th April
Publishers & Booksellers Guild will organize the Nababarsha Boi Utsab in honor of the Bangla New Year. The KMDA, the Ward No. 93 Club Samanvaya Parishad, and the Kolkata Municipal Corporation will all support the organization of Nababarsha Boi Utsab. Throughout the festival, Bengali literature and culture will be honored.
A local book fair was increasingly desired by the book lovers living in the southern section of the city. Not all South Kolkatans could routinely visit the International Kolkata Book Fair venue after it moved from Maidan to its permanent location at Karunamoyee, Salt Lake. To meet their desire, Nababarsha Boi Utsab is being held in South Kolkata.
Nababarsha Boi Utsab will be inaugurated on 16 April at 6:30 pm. Eminent authors Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay, and Bani Basu will be present at the inaugural ceremony along with Firhad Hakim, Hon’ble Mayor of Kolkata and Minister, Government of West Bengal, Mala Roy, Hon’ble M.P. and Chairman, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Debasish Kumar, Hon’ble MMIC, Kolkata and MLA, West Bengal and Mousumi Das, Hon’ble Councillor, Ward no 93.
Every evening, there will be interactive sessions on relevant contemporary topics where eminent personalities from different fields will participate. Apart from this, there will be different cultural programs every evening.
Eminent publishing houses will be present at the Nababarsha Boi Utsab. There will be attractive discounts as well.
This Book Festival will take place in the Taltala Ground, next to EEDF and across from South City Mall, from April 16 to 25 daily from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
