Narayana Hospital’s Made Great Advances In Interventional Cardiology


Dr. Ayan Kar, Dr. Kuntal Bhattacharya, Dr. Debabrata Bera, Mr. Abhijit CP, and Dr. Debdatta Bhattacharyya addressed a press conference on Narayana Hospital RN Tagore Hospital in Mukundapur leading advancements in interventional cardiology.
Also gracing the occasion were patients who shared their journey of becoming fit with the media.
The hospital began with a 25-bed facility and now is a 650-bed facility. They have been setting new benchmarks in treatment and have been introducing advanced cardiac care facilities for the patients.
The hospital has been embracing new technologies to make treatment better for their patients. Some of the advanced technologies adopted by them are TAVI, LVAD, and many others. The hospital was also among the first in Kolkata to introduce drug-coated stents and bring changes in coronary angioplasty. They began intravascular imaging in 2011 and it helped improve the success rates of angioplasty.
They have become a center for imparting medical education. They introduced a Diplomate of National Board or DNB program. With the help of this program, the hospital has mentored many young cardiologists in India.
Due to the amazing treatment facilities and great care taken of the patients, patients from different parts of India as well as from other countries also come for treatment.
