Ace Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah will be seen acting in a Bengali film after a long span of time. Directed by Saibal Mitra, the film is titled Debotar Grash.

The film is based on an American play Inherit the Wind written by Robert E Lee and Jerome Lawrence.

Soumitra Chatterjee will be seen in a pivotal role in the film. This is for the first time that Soumitra Chatterjee and Naseeruddin Shah will be sharing screen space.

Debotar Grash also has Kaushik Sen, Anashua Majumdar, Subhrajit Dutta, and Amrita Chatterjee in other major roles.

The shoot of the film has already begun in Kolkata.
