National & International Elite Athletes Of TSW 25K Ready For The Big Day
The international and national elite athlete press conferences took place in the presence of the media before the TSW 25K Kolkata finals on Sunday.
When the TSW 25K‘s reigning champions Daniel Ebenyo and Sutume Kebede take the starting line on Sunday, December 15, they both intend to defend their championships.
The prize money is US $142,214. The top three winners will receive $15,000, $100,000, and $7000, respectively, with the prize money for men and women as equal. A $5,000 US Event Record Bonus is another incentive for the runners.
Daniel Ebenyo holds the current event record in the Men’s category, 1:11:13, and Sutume Kebede holds the Women’s record, 1:18:47.
Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata 2024-Indian Elite Athlete Press Meet & Greet at Media Center Red Road was graced by Gulveer Singh, 10,000m and 5000m national record holder, Sawan Barwal, Defending Champion TSK 25K Kolkata, Lili Das, Winner VDHM 2024, Sanjivani Jadhav, winner of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2024 and Abhishek Pal, winner of the TSK 25K 2022.
Sawan Barwal, Gulveer Singh, and Abhishek Pal are all promising a fierce battle to break the tape at the TSW 25K Kolkata on Sunday, December 15, setting up a three-way race to the finish line.
The prize money race in the US is $142,214. The first three finishers in each event will get INR 3,00,000, INR 2,50,000, and INR 2,00,000, respectively, with equal prize money for the Indian Elite men’s and women’s champions. An Event Record Bonus of INR 1,00,000 will be given to the Indian Elite men’s and women’s runners as an additional incentive.
Sunday will surely make for an entertaining watch for the audience.
