The National Science Day was celebrated at Science City, Kolkata on February 28, 2020 with a series of programs and activities.

This involved school students, underprivileged children and young visitors. Around 300 students from 9 schools, 2 NGOs and 1 Art school participated in this celebration. The program started with the planting of trees by students and dignitaries.

The students enthusiastically took part in the ‘Sit & Draw’ competition, ‘Open House Balloon Burst Quiz’ on Science & Technology in India and ‘Exhibit-Hunt’ competition. Students had a great time enjoying an interactive demonstration on ‘Illusion’ presented by Suchibrata Roy.

Science City organized this program for bringing science to people through non-formal participatory learning modes.
