Neurosurgeoner Diary- Amazing Experiences Of A Neurosurgeon
Deep Prakashan organized the launch of the book “Neurosurgeoner Diary” written by Dr Amitabha Chanda. The book was launched by author Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay, renowned doctor and professor Sukumar Mukherjee, and actor Chiranjeet Chakraborty.
Renowned for his inventive method of doing surgery on conscious patients, Dr. Amitabha Chanda has amassed more than 35 years of medical expertise. His compelling collection of exceptional and unexpected instances from his long career is found in his book Neurosurgeoner Diary.
In a culture where talking about “brain tumors” and “spine surgery” frequently conjures up images of terror and uncertainty, Dr. Chanda’s book aims to shed light on the astounding advancements in neurosurgical techniques. The story illustrates how scientific discoveries have led to the treatment of formerly incurable neurological disorders.
Neurosurgeoner Diary is not an autobiography. It shows Dr. Chanda’s different experiences as a neurosurgeon. “Becoming a neurosurgeon was not an easy task. Many patients come from Mumbai and South India to get themselves treated. That is a huge thing for me. When patients from Kolkata think that we do not have adequate treatment facilities here, these patients prove them wrong. The stories will give patients hope that they can overcome difficult situations and get back to normal life” said Dr. Chanda.
Neurosurgeoner Diary is priced at Rs 250/-, and will be available at the forthcoming International Kolkata Book Fair and across retail bookshops and online platforms.
