“New-Age Actors Will Change Direction Of Bengali Films”- Subrata Nandy
The Bengali, South Indian, and Hindi film industries are eagerly awaiting for actor Subrata Nandy’s major releases this year.
Subrata Nandy has more than 12 years of acting experience and has been in numerous Bengali, Hindi, and South Indian films. He will soon appear in the Kingshuk Dey-directed movie “The Red Files,” which is based on the 1990 Bantala Case. In the movie, Subrata, who is primarily recognized for his negative performances, plays a corrupt political figure. He has also contributed to the production of the Kingshuk Dey-directed Bengali movie “Gut,” in which he plays the Mafia boss Rafiq Khan.
A handful of his South Indian and Hindi films are also awaiting release in theatres.
He works as a film reviewer for well-known national platforms like “Bombay Talkies” in addition to being an actor.
As an actor, he thinks that the only way out of the Bengali film industry‘s predicament is through interesting, mainstream films.
“New age performers are the only individuals who change the direction of Bengali Cinema, and bring back the glory that Bengali films experienced in yesteryears,” the producer says of his desire to work with young, brilliant actors.
Wishing him all the best!!
