A press conference was organized to announce a new Bengali film, Dipu. The film is based on the life and career of eminent former footballer Dipendu Biswas.

The press conference was graced by the director Shree Pritam, Manish, Dipendu Biswas, Barsha Sengupta, and others.

The story, music, and direction of the film are by Shree Pritam.

Speaking at the event, the director said “The film will not only be the conventional biopic on the footballer Dipendu Biswas. It will also showcase many other facets of his life. There will be many surprise elements in the film. Actor Manish will be seen in the role of young Dipendu while the role of the now Dipendu Biswas will be enacted by the footballer”.

The cast of the film consists of Dipendu Biswas, Barsha Sengupta, Manish, Sumit Ganguly, and many others.

Dipendu Biswas said that despite his busy schedule, he will take time out to work on this film.

Presented by Barsha Entertainment, the film is co-produced by Aasha Films & Entertainment.

The shoot of the film will start in September 2024.
