New Bengali Song Surer Dharmo Released On International Music Day
There is no caste or religion in music. The melody alludes to a peace that transcends all religious and ethnic differences.
Based on this idea, this new song Surer Dharmo has been written by Arindam Roy and composed by Anurag Chattopadhyay. The arrangement of this song is designed by Suvojit (Tubai) Roy. This song is sung by 18 vocalists of Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, 2020-21. Krishnakali Saha, Niharika Nath, Rahul Sinha, Raktim Chowdhury, Sayantan Adhikary, Sonali Banerjee, Anurag Chatterjee, Tamojit Bose, Jyoti Sharma, Samadipta Mukherjee, Arpita Chakraborty, Amit Talukdar, Soumyadeep Sarkar, Arkadeep Mishra, Debrup Raha, Bidipta Chakraborty, Aditi Chakraborty, Avishek Natta have lent their voice in this song. This song was released on the YouTube channel “Zee Music Bangla” on International Music Day.
Abir Chatterjee, Srikanta Acharya, Joy Sarkar, Rathijit Bhattacharya, Shreya Bhattacharya, Aditi Munshi, and many other eminent artists graced the music launch.
Lyricist Arindam Roy said, “It wasn’t very easy to bring all the artists together to make the song. We are doing this because I always want to support and encourage the next generation of talented people. I firmly believe that the religious divide will never have an impact on those of us who work in the cultural sector. Hope you all enjoy this song video”.
18 performers from the Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, 2020-21, joined together to sing this song, and some of them also played instruments. Sonali Banerjee and Anurag Chatterjee performed on the piano, and Avishek Natta, Rahul Sinha, and Tamojit Bose played the guitar. And Arkdeep Mishra created the string division.
The collaboration of so many fresh artists is a novelty in the Bengali music scene. Arindam Roy, the song’s lyricist, had all of this planned. Arindam has a tune that is both timely and priceless to offer Bengal’s music fans.
