Samata Das has become an integral part of Sohag Chand‘s star cast. She will appear in the serial as Vijaya.

For the majority of her life, timid and unassuming, Vijaya has lived inside the small, cramped walls of her little house. Her world has been restricted, and her voice has been stifled by her husband Duryadhan’s authoritarian attitude, despite her just having completed the fifth grade. She lives a solitary life and the only companionship she receives from her stepson Durjoy who disrespects her.

In due course, Sohag will shine brightly in her life, and, with her uplifting energy, she will get a companion who can see behind Vijaya’s shy demeanor. Vijaya will start to uncover a side of herself that she had long since forgotten—or maybe never knew existed—through their companionship.

Will Duryadhan and Durjoy put in jeopardy Vijaya’s upward trajectory and lead to more opposition to her independence?
