Pratima is a young girl who is fun-loving and very restless by nature. Her parents worry a lot due to her restlessness. Her parents think that marrying her will tone down her restlessness. She is married off to a boy Satyacharan who is quiet and just opposite to her nature. What happens next is the story about Aakash Aath’s new mega serial EkirMekir.

The series is adapted from Samaresh Majumdar’s work Tanu Atanu Sangbad.

Somashree will be seen in the role of Pratima. She dislikes the name given to her by her grandmother as she feels that the name is backdated. She does not like injustice happening to anyone. The actress could relate with the character as also could not tolerate injustice done to anyone.

The mega-serial is directed by Susanto Bose.

Somashree Bhattacharya, Saptarshi Roy, Laboni Sarkar, Sanjib Sarkar, Mousumi Kar Chatterjee, and others will be seen in pivotal roles in this mega serial.

Sanjib Sarkar will be seen in the role of Satyacharan’s father, Satish. “This is a funny story. We are going through a hard time. We are only hearing sad stories everywhere. Aakash has come up with a great decision to share happiness with the audience during this grave time. I have read the original story a long time ago and I had felt that this could be a good film” said the actor.

EkirMekir will be aired from 16^th August, Monday to Saturday at 7 pm on Aakash Aath.
