Konttho has been receiving great appreciation from the critics and the audiences alike. Director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukhopadhyay announced their next film Gotro- Embraces Humanity. The logo launch of the film was done digitally.

Nigel Akkara will be seen in a pivotal role in this upcoming Bengali film. The name of his character is Tarek Ali. Nigel has a similarity with the character of Tarek and so the director duo cast him as no one else fitted the role better than him. It is to be noted that the actor made his debut in Bengali films with the director duo’s film Muktodhara.

Religion and hatred has become so dominant in today’s society. Hatred spreading due to religious issues is so very common now. The film focuses on this topic.

The shooting of the film is already over and the post production work is currently in progress.

The film is eyeing for release on Janmashtami.
