Rupantor is a web series produced by Niri9 and directed by R.K. The web series stars Mantu Mallick, Kusum Samanta, Subho, Tapan, Papia, Aahan,  Abhishek, Swaswata Ghosh, Rajkumar, Sandipta, Amit, Tushar, and others. A press meet was organized to announce the release of this web series.

The story of Rupantar is about a common man Kumaresh, his wife Rita, and his son Kajal. They are struggling at each and every point of life. The story shows how transgenders Rekha and her team pass their life in sorrow. Despite that, they try to find a way to live happily. The story is a reflection of the current society.

The web series is the first Bengali project to be produced by NIRI9. NIRI9 is a new OTT platform that began its journey on 18^th January 2021 and is available in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, the UK, and some parts of the USA. Within this span of one year, the platform has produced short films, web series, feature films, music videos, and talk shows in different languages like Assamese, Bodo, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Hindi, and other languages.

The platform started with the aim of providing a platform to young and dedicated content creators. Some of the popular web series available on this platform are Illegal, Role Play, Gangster Babua, Romeo in Jheng, Calcutta Killings, and many more.

Short films available on this platform include Sobi, Wings of Mind, and others.

The series is produced by Junmoni Devi Khaund.

NIRI9 is available on Google Play Store and Apple Store. A user has to install the app and then subscribe. The subscription plan can be selected as per the needs of the customers. there are three subscription plans- Rs 199 for three months, Rs 390 for 6 months, and Rs 759 for 1 year.

The web series is expected to start streaming on 8th November.
