Novel Ishwarer Ontim Shwas Shows Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar’s Last Years Before His Death

The novel shows the last few years of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar before his death. The book highlights the untouched facets of man’s life.
The story of the book is about three young travel vloggers who went to Karmatar for shooting a vlog series on Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. He chose to distance himself from the world during 1873-74 and went to Karmatar in Bihar. He spent the last 18 to 20 years f his life in isolation. The three vloggers unearth the forgotten history.
The author said that she went to the Karmatar village four years ago on her way back home from Madhupur. She researched and found that the Bengali community was unaware of the last few years of the legendary personality. She went to the village many times over the last two and a half years.
Debarati Mukhopadhyay’s earlier released books include Shikhandi, Narach, Dashgupta Travels, Narak Sanket, and others. She has been awarded many awards like the Indian Express Devi Award 2022, Tagore Samman 2022, and others.
The book is published by Deep Prakashan and is priced at Rs 250.
