To increase their production capacity and establish themselves in the retail market, Acme Moulders & Furniture Private Limited, a well-known name in the Indian seating furniture industry, plans to invest more than Rs 100 crores in Omacme, their flagship brand.

This was announced at a press conference that was graced by Ajay Daga, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nikhil Daga, Director and Chief Technology Officer, Omacme, Neha Daga, Director and Chief Marketing Officer, Omacme, and Amit Daga, Director and Chief Operating Officer.

Originally established as Acme Moulders & Furniture Private Limited in 1985 by Mr. Gouri Shankar Daga, Omacme is a leader in the seating sector in India today, with a robust dealer network that distributes its product lines throughout the country. At their expansive, state-of-the-art 1,10,000 square foot factory in Sodepur, Omacme produces a wide range of seating furniture, including office and institutional chairs and tables, high-end desks and benches, banquet and wedding room chairs, auditoriums, cafe and restaurant chairs and tables, and other types of tables like center tables, coffee tables, and dining tables. This facility is outfitted with state-of-the-art machinery and backward-integrated processes to ensure exceptional quality and precision. Omacme is capable of producing more than 1000 chairs and tables every day.

Mr. Ajay Daga, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Omacme, established the Omacme brand in 2010 with the primary objective of marketing a cost-effective line of chairs. At the height of the company’s production of molded plywood for chair seats and backs, this brand was introduced. Omacme now has two sub-brands: Omacme Luxe, which stands for Affordable Luxury, and Omacme Series. Omacme Luxe caters to luxury consumers who desire high-end furniture without breaking the bank, while Omacme Series offers simple and affordable chairs for all categories. Another significant component of Omacme’s services is product customization, which gives clients more options.

By 2026, they plan to establish a new manufacturing facility in Kolkata, and by 2028, they plan to expand their retail presence by establishing ten more Omacme design studios in major cities.

Omacme was the first business to use its cutting-edge hot-press molded plywood technology to completely transform the furniture industry. In the years that followed, the company set numerous globally recognized technologies and equipment for the first time in the Indian furniture sector and continued to set new standards every year.

Omacme provides a huge selection of 700+ model designs across 10+ categories, guaranteeing that every customer’s needs—whether they are B2B or B2C—are perfectly met. At Sector 5 of Salt Lake, Kolkata you can find the Omacme Design Studio. The company employs 300 people, and its products are sold throughout India. At the moment, Omacme exports its goods from Nepal. With more than 250 SKUs per design, the brand has created a distinctive, tech-driven online shopping experience that allows customers to personalize every model.
